Condair Mk5 - resistive steam humidifier

The Condair Mk5 resistive steam humidifier provides reliable control of humidity without the expense or inconvenience of replaceable boiling cylinders.

Maintenance is kept to an absolute minimum with patented scale management technology and innovative service features.

The humidifier is easy to install with quality, compact construction. The CrNI stainless steel cylinder and incoloy heating elements are extremely robust and provide a long operational lifetime.

Control accuracy of the Condair Mk5 is ±2%rh with mains water and ±1%rh with demineralised water, making it ideal for close control applications.

The humidifier can be operated via the ergonomic keyboard on the front of the humidifier or linked to a building management system.

 Cost effective steam humidification

As the Condair Mk5 does not require replacement boiler cylinders, it has much lower service requirements and operating costs than electrode boiler humidifiers. This can result in a 66% saving in spares and maintenance costs.

If the Condair Mk5 is operated using RO water, then the service requirement can be reduced to just an annual check.

 Easy to control
Easy to control

Condair Mk5 steam humidifiers can be controlled at the push of a button via an ergonomic keyboard with informative and easy to use display, which can be easily modified for site specific parameters.

Operational status, fault and service requirement are visually indicated.

Continuous control of steam capacity is achieved within the entire range from 0-100%. This gives close humidity control during both full and partial load operation.

An optional e-Links feature enables the linking of steam humidifiers to the building management system. Control and monitoring of the units can therefore be realised in comfort from a PC.

The e-Links card allows units to be individually monitored and controlled. The interface is compatible with the Modbus, BACnet/IP or Lon-Works systems.

  •  Scale management & Cold Pool technology
Scale management & Cold Pool technology

The patented scale collection tank at the base of the Condair Mk5 makes scale removal simple.

Expansion and contraction of the heating elements during operation causes scale to detach. As scale falls from the elements it passes into the external scale collection tank at the bottom of the humidifier.

This external tank can be drained, detached, emptied of scale and reattached within minutes.

Cold Pool technology is used in some sections of the humidifier to prevent scale formation and help detach scale so it falls into the scale collection tank.

A twin-walled design allows cold water to pass around the outer section of the boiling chamber. The thermal shock between the two temperature zones causes scale to detach from the chamber’s hot inner meshed lining.

Cold Pool technology is also used just above and inside the scale collection tank. This prevents scale from forming in these areas, preventing blockages and ensuring the process is robust and reliable.

     Reduce maintenance with RO

A PureFlo reverse osmosis water filter will remove most of the minerals from supply water. This will dramatically reduce maintenance as scale build-up is virtually eliminated.

PureFlo RO filters are made specifically for use with humidifiers. They require no associated pumps or tanks to operate and can supply up to 300 litres of pure RO water per hour at up to 5bar.
